Rhythmic Reminiscence This is a two part piece. The portion on the wall is hand-woven indigo dyed cotton and bamboo warps with wool and silk weft. This exist in two sections each measuring 36ft x 20inches. Within this piece I continued to take insperation from patterns in nature, the patterns of waves. The Pattern for each piece were created by replicating wave tidal pattern graphs into weave-able structures.
Lost In Translation is a mixed media piece constructed using acetate and stickers and is 392-inches x 1680-inches in size made up of over 150 pieces. Within this piece I used a variety of non traditional fiber materials to explore the idea of recreating tie-ups from weaving patterns. I worked to depict every eight-harness tie-up pattern from the book "A Weaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns: From the Friends of Handwoven" by Carol Stickler which totaled to 166 tie-ups that became 166 two foot by two foot acetate squares. Each square was then placed overlapping the next to create a distinct pattern that changed with every installation. This was an iteration of the piece in which I explored the effects of how light would pass through the window and each individual square.

Woven Maple is a hand dyed and handwoven fully functional bench. Within the piece a late 1800 bench was reimagine in a new way. The piece is constructed from hand dyed paracords. Woven Maple explores the idea that a frame loom can be created from a variety of structures or frames. My recent exploration of crating a non-tradition loom have been through using the frames of furniture, to create woven furniture. Rather than choosing to create a fabric on a floor loom and reupholstering the the furniture, I chose to use the frames of furniture as the loom. Within this piece the frame of the wooden bench acted as the loom.

Solitary Sapphire is a hand dyed and handwoven fully functional bench. Within the piece I created a woven chair from a single metal chair. The piece is constructed from hand dyed paracords. Solitary Sapphire explores the idea that a frame loom can be created from a variety of structures or frames. Within this piece I chose to create a pattern that almost replicated the pattern from the Prussian Persuasion bench.
